Coffs Coast Aviation Centre - Theory Courses


2012 CLASSES 

Basic Aeronautical Knowledge (RAA/PPL), Wednesday 7-9pm weekly commencing Wed 1st February for term 1.

Human Factors and Navigation/Meteorology will be conducted in following terms during the year.

Radio Operator Cert (RAA/PPL) - One day workshop Wednesday 4th January 2012, 9am to 4 pm, concluding with RAAus exam. PPL students can arrange to sit PPL exam externally. $65 plus text $29.00 "Flight Radio for Pilots - VFR Operations" ATC. (Note: Text book is supplied to students under our flight training package).

Air Law (RAA/PPL) - One day workshop Wednesday 11th January 2012, 9am to 4pm concluding with RAAus exam. PPL students can arrange to sit PPL exam externally. $65. (Participants must have a copy of RAAus Operations Manual. AIP, sample ERSA, charts and other CASA/Air Services documents available at workshop if not held by participant).

Pilot Licence Theory Subjects

Theory courses are conducted at our Coffs Airport hangar training rooms. Both regular evening classes and occasional day seminars are held.

Instructors are also available for personal aviation theory tuition at an hourly rate.

Tuition for theory subjects requiring an exam is not included in the price of flight training. Flight training prices cover pre and post flight briefings relevant to the flight training exercise only. Additional external fees are charged for CASA PPL/CPL exams.

RAA & PPL THEORY CLASSES

Regular Wednesday evening (7-9pm) adult classes enable our pilot trainees to get the best theory tuition opportunities available. Classes are conducted during school term dates. All RAA/PPL theory subjects are taught in a one year cycle. Where possible exams will be conducted immediately following courses. Email or call our office  to enrol.

After school theory classes are also conducted for high school students in the FLYNOW program.

Commercial Pilot Licence subjects - 

All CPL subjects can be taught on demand - please enquire with us.

RAA Human Factors

All RAA pilots are required to complete a Human Factors course. We welcome enquiries about this course from interested pilots (see contacts page). Material covered is also applicable to PPL students.
