Ferry flights - across the world and across Aust. Oct 2009 - In October Mike saw some more of the world participating in the ferry flight of a Cessna Conquest II (C441) pressurised turbo prop from USA to Adelaide via Alaska, Russia and SE Asia. The trip took 6 days and 43 hrs flying. In the week prior to the ferry, he spent a week at FlightSafety in Wichita Kansas to sucessfully complete his C441 endorsement.The whole trip was a great experience (apart from jet lag!). Crossing the northern Philippines coast at 26,000' Dec 2009 - Mid December saw Mike delivering a 2 seater Sportstar from Melbourne to Townsville - the direct flight via Bourke and Charleville took 11 hours flying in a straight line over two days. The weather was beautiful for the whole trip, as first light at Griffith shows. Charleville - under water soon after this!! |
