For Air Charter Survey link, select "Charter" tab above Flight Training - RAAus, PPL Recreational Aviation Australia (RAAus) - approved Flight Training Facility - we offer flight training at Coffs Harbour to gain a Recreational Pilot Certificate, issued under RAAus. The starting point for anyone learning to fly is taking a Trial Instruction Flight (TIF) Discovery Flight. During this half hour flight you will actually fly the aircraft, guided by our Instructor, who can give you some assessment of your aptitude to continue. Anyone aged 14 and over can take a TIF Discovery Flight, even if they just want to experience the thrill of flying. We usually fly up the coast over the beaches, surfers, often seeing dolphins, so it's a spectacular way to see the coast. You'll love flying over the beautiful Coffs Coast and we can even fly over your home if it is in the area! The cost is only $95. Midcoast Microlights also operates from the same hangar and offers RAAus flight training in microlight (weight shift) aircraft. PPL In 2012 we will be able to offer flight training for Private Pilot Licenses (PPL), in conjunction with another reputable and professional Flying School. RAAus certificated pilots will be able to include their RAAus hours towards that required for a PPL. RAA/PPL/CPL theory training is conducted Wed evenings and individual tuition on demand.
